Crazy Busy

I've been out of town since Wednesday. I had a Christmas party on Tuesday and that left Monday to get ready. Whew! I am looking forward to getting back into a routine, back on the circuit and back to normal eating.

I found this tidbit of info that might help you lose or maintain weight this holiday season... Did you know that by simply keeping a food diary, or writing down everything you eat could help you lose 18 pounds over the next 6 months? You can purchase one through www.dailyfooddiary.net or simply grab a small notebook from the store for a couple of bucks. If you bite it, write it!

Happy Hour Guide

The holiday parties are in full swing. You can go out and have a good time and stick to a sensible eating plan.
1) Drink lots of water, drink a glass of water for every other drink (soda, wine, cocktail) you have
2) There are some low calorie cocktail options. Gin or Vodka Tonics are low in calories. Bloody Mary's or Screwdrivers actually have fiber because of the fruit juice. Swap up Diet Coke for Coke in Rum & Coke or Jack & Coke cocktails.
3) Beware of the sneaky drinks, mojitos and daquaries are packed with a sugar syrup, Creamy drinks like White Russians have extra calories and the worst offender- the mudslide.

You can be creative and still have a fun time out. Check out these margarita recipes, each drink has only 105 calories.
